Part of what I do is support entrepreneurs in both traditional and network marketing business. The following is a strategy that I pursue myself and help others with to develop in their own business, predominantly in network marketing but the principles can be applied to traditional business as well.

I love talking with schools and charities about network marketing and have them join my team. Pretty much all schools and charities are always looking for more money so it is a logical marriage. The main concerns that I hear are usually always limited to, the cost of joining, the cost of qualifying for a commission cheque each month, and the administrative responsibility - Who is going to manage it?

The cost of joining will differ from one network marketing company to another, and if the organisation (charity or school) is prepared to take my proposal on board and actively promote it, I am prepared to cover the initial cost required by my company. The amount is negligible anyway and it is usually tax deductible as a donation.

The cost of qualifying for a commission every month usually requires product to be purchased, either by the ‘distributor’, in this case the charity or school, or by a customer and frequently that has to be a regular type of customer, not someone who enrols for the business. Since the charity or school will be promoting the prodcuts or services of the network marketing company to their mailing list, this should be simple enough to cover with one sale, and even if not, my suggestion is that they can choose a qualifying product or products that people generally may want and run a raffle with say $2 tickets to cover the cost of the qualifying products and administration of the raffle. This kills a couple of birds with one stone. The charity or school qualifies for a commission, they have the potential to generate more income from the sale of raffle tickets that exceed their costs, and people who may participate initially in the raffle without buying the product have the potential to become customers or distributors themselves. Most people will be prepared to do something for their school or charity especially if there is a definable advantage to themselves.

The who is going to manage it bit is the one where you need to find out how they work and what resources they have available to them. In a couple of cases I have offered to manage the process and did so by finding people with the necessary skills who were willing to donate on average an hour a week to help make it happen, and/or people who had access to resources et al that may be of assistance. If the charity or school sees the bigger picture, this usually is relatively easy to resolve.

If your network marketing company has a way for you to measure how much you earn from each leg or personally enrolled distributor, you may want to offer some percentage of your earnings as a further donation to the charity or school at the end of the year. Again, this will usually be tax deductible and if you believe in the cause of the charity or wish to support your old school or your children’s school then you will probably be happy and grateful for the opportunity to help them out in this way.

Consider the above with regard to your network marketing or traditional business and adapt the ideas to suit the way your business operates. Network marketing is a powerful force for good at all levels of society and community so contribute to your community and help them achieve their goals. When we focus on helping others get what they want, instead of what we want, we will ultimately receive everything we deserve..

Warmest regards,
Paul

For those of you offended by the existence of the world of adult entertainment, I suggest you read no further. I respect your sensitivities and would not want you to be subjected to something that may offend you. Now for some ramblings …. :-)

Throughout my career I have provided no-nonsense advice to a broad array of businesses and entrepreneurs. The most interesting of these had no boardroom, and no 500 man secretarial pool, nor did they have a small business with a unique product **just** about to explode, or some new exciting network marketing opportunity. Instead they were sole proprietors, single business women in a non-exclusive market seeking to differentiate themselves. These ladies are professional Dominatrix’s, and interestingly, the challenges facing these savvy business women are the same as are faced by every business, especially small to medium enterprise.

Now normally when someone calls in the Business Alien, my key point of difference is that I don’t take sh**, I drop ballistics, and kick ass, but come to think of it, that’s what these girls do for a living!! ….So did that just make me one of the girls?

When first approached I realised I would have to become more familiar with the commercial aspect of this world - oh bugger!! - :-), so I talked to professional Dominatrix’s from around the world, and realised there is a pattern of behaviour that is consistent with great achievement and abundance, and another that provides for mediocrity and less. The essence is Socratic, “know thyself”.

There are real Dominants in this industry who are true to their nature, they understand their way, and understand the value of what they offer. They offer a service defined by who they are and what they feel for their craft. When they accept a client, the service delivered is intrinsically inline with the expectations of the individual, and accordingly they attract an abundance of clients who seek their specific offering.

Lesson 1: Don’t look for the client’s you think you want, be true to yourself, and attract the clients that are looking for you!!

On the flip side, there are a huge number of Dominatrix’s, I suspect the vast majority (hey, why should this industry be different), that seek to be everything to everyone; they have lost touch with who they are, and spiral out of control into an abyss of mediocrity and worse. This industry is clearly about power exchange, and those Dominatrix’s who pander to clients, granting each and every request irrespective of whether it is within the scope of what they do, as opposed to engaging in activities that they enjoy, shift the power to the party who should be powerless in this type of transaction. They effectively become submissive Dominants and their clients become Dominant submissives. Real Dominants act congruously with their beliefs forge their own destiny.

Lesson 2: Be who you are, and align every interaction to you.

Oh, before anyone comes with “but the submissives are the ones with the power”, either think again or email/call me and I will be happy to discuss. I’m sure we can have an interesting conversation about where our respective knowledge and experience comes from ;-) Dominatrix’s understand that when you focus on what other people want, and not what you want, and take action to help make that happen, you ultimately receive all that you want. This is totally different to yielding power.

Lesson 3: Help others to succeed if you want success; and be strong, you cannot help people if you are weak.

Admittedly, this all sounds very winner-loser-ish, however that is simply the appearance of the service to those without an understanding of what this industry is about. The true nature of the industry is a creative one in which the service interaction creates unlimited possibilities that extend far beyond the scope of the relationship that the two parties establish. In fact, the same is true, and happens in every industry every day. Every industry has the potential to be misperceived as competitive and combative. The reality! For each of us it is what you think it is and accordingly how you respond. Every person in every company has the ability to affect the image of that company by how they approach every interaction; and by raising the self image of the individuals we raise the image of the company.

When we embrace the creative world, in business and our personal lives, and see everything as an opportunity to create something, we empower ourselves and those around us to live happier, healthier, and more abundant lives. This is different to the old win-win thinking as that still embraces the idea that there is a ‘lose’. Yes there is always a positive and a negative, there will always be opposites in life, they are part of the general make-up or scheme of things, and they are necessary to achieving the understanding, and the balance that is the creative world. A world that inspires you, your family, and your business to a more abundant existence, and allows you to embrace the outcome with appreciation for what it has given you.

Lesson 4: There is no box, so create, be grateful, repeat the process.

You can always learn more skills and acquire more knowledge, and experience new things that add depth and richness to what you offer. The simplest thing in life to do is to be you, and whether in personal relationships or in business, when you ‘be you’ there is no need for a façade.

Be the true Dominant force in your own life that will forge out your future and create for you the circumstances that will allow you to attract to you the people you need to make a difference in the world.

CONSIDER YOUR LIFE RIGHT NOW BY IMAGINING YOUR DEATH

How many death bed statements sound like this:

“I wish I could have worked longer.”
“I wish I could have been in the office more.”
“I am going to miss those long commutes to work in the traffic jams every morning.”
“I wish I could have created more debt to pass on to my heirs.”

I’ve never heard of a single one.

Studies show that people on their death beds are more occupied with the things that are most important to them (yes, there are even studies into that). Commonly people think about:

Why does what we do during our lives commonly not reflect what we feel is important when we are about to pass from it?

It makes absolutely no sense!

So please ask yourself and answer these questions.

~ When I am about to pass, will that which is upper most in my mind be congruous with what I am doing with my life right now?
~ If not, what action am I taking to change my circumstances?

If you are not satisfied with your responses, the great thing is that it is not too late!

You can choose to start making a change right now!

You chose to be in business or do what you do for a reason. Why?

(Don’t read any further until you are clear on that last question!)

Now that you are clear, what action do you need to take to achieve it? If you are serious about achieving it, willing to take action, and would like a sounding board, email me your reason “Why?” you are doing what you are doing. We will then set up a time for 1-2-1 by phone or Skype, focused on helping you to ensure that your actions today are congruous with achieving what is truly most important to you.

Whether you believe you can do it, or believe you can’t, you’re right

As you all know, I am passionate about network marketing and it’s ability to create wealth for normal everyday people like you and I. Regrettably I see many get rich quick schemes on the Internet (we all see them), quite a number using the network marketing model, and frankly, when I see these, I am so embarrassed for the people who post them because they really do not understand the basics of business, wealth creation, or contribution vs. consumption.

I just received an email about Ellie Drake’s and Mike Filsaime’s Free Report called - “The Death of Network Marketing”.

I will admit, like you may also be feeling now, that I thought it was some hyped up offer to get me to buy something…

… however as it turns out there was no such offer. Just a FREE report packed full of gems that will open the eyes of any veteran or virgin network marketer, or traditional businessman, since the principles of this report can be applied in everyday business (as really can all of the best principles and practices of network marketing). So whether you believe in network marketing as a way of creating income and wealth, or are simply curious to see what made me so interested to want to share this with you, go to my website (http://www.paullange.com.au/Death_of_Network_Marketing) to download your free copy of the report now.

The bottom line is, this report really opened my eyes that Network Marketing may be dying. The times are changing for us and it would be a shame for you or anyone to not read this report and fail like many will. Again, even if you apply this to your ‘day job’ business, you will see many benefits.

Paradoxically, change is possibly the only constant in every industry, really in the entire world. Part of our success or failure depends upon how we create and interact with change in our daily lives.

I recommend you take a break from whatever it is you are doing if you can, and access to this report now.

Consider your future success by going here now…

Warmest regards,

Paul

PS - Mike and Ellie say it will only be available for a few days or so, so do not delay…

Social networks are still spewing out over the net, some are purely social, some are entirely business focused, many are rampant with people peddling fast money schemes. Then there is Agloco that came along to make the Internet a passive income browsing experience. Now Yuwie has done the same for social networks. It feels a bit like MySpace meets Facebook, and that is just downright confusing. :-) Whether there will be a value add to this one (heck, people already argue about whether Facebook or LinkedIn is better) remains to be seen, however being the open networker that I am I decided to jump on for the journey and see where it leads. You can connect to me at http://r.yuwie.com/pauljlange.

Now for the serious question part, when is enough enough? Or is it never enough? Different people will always interact with these networks in different ways, some actively, some passively using it like a billboard for their product or service, so what is your opinion on the saturation level of social networks on the Internet.

Everything starts with a a thought, fuelled either by fear or faith.
This in turn becomes doubt or belief in ourselves and our expectations,
that determines what we do or don’t do as a result.
Whether individually or as a collective (sub-)conscience,
we are the result of the decisions we make and the actions we take.

OK. so the original is in Dutch. If you can’t read it either buy a dictionary, take a course in Dutch, or ask me, but the general gist is that a dog has now won the right to express it’s opinion at meeting of the city council of Eindhoven. C’mon! seriously. How much more twisted can we seriously allow things to become. Perhaps next plants should have an equal right of expressing an opinion!!!

The original article is http://www.wereldomroep.nl/news/zijlijn/5448377/Hond-krijgt-spreekrecht-in-raad-Eindhove

Original article:

“Hond krijgt spreekrecht in raad Eindhoven

Since returning to the Land of Oz almost a year and a half ago, I have noticed how soccer is infiltrating Aussie society with subliminal and even blatant messages being included in advertising. Well at least the A-League chairman has earned his pay cheque. Seriously though, whether you watch ads for car insurance, breakfast cereal, health products , and the latest the Australian Citizenship commercial, soccer is raising it’s ugly head everywhere. Do we really need another major sport? And if yes, do we really want to promote a sport which overseas is the cause of some of the most violent riots and costs fortunes in public money for police and other authorities to manage and control. If you want soccer, make the soccer federation reimburse the government for the additional costs that it causes. But I digress….

Back when I was a kid, soccer was for the wimps and quiche eaters. Has Aussie society been placed on a course of oestrogen since I departed or what? And why does the Australian public service that produces these campaigns not use AFL as a sporting example when extolling Australian values to potential new citizens? This is simply PC pandering gone mad!!
